ABOUT

Surrounded by the Pennines and the Peak District, Paul's artistic passion started from a young age. Seeing his older brother's high school artwork and his father's photography covering the walls of the house in which he grew up lead to hours spent sketching, drawing and taking photographs of everything in sight, inspired to capture the exciting world around him.

Through high school Paul, whilst not in trouble, continued to develop his talents studying Art and Graphic Products and throughout developed a keen interest in web design. Upon leaving school he started work on an e-commerce website for a golf retailer. Here Paul spent a vast amount of his time photographing products for their website.

A year later, Paul moved to fresh pastures joining the British Army to become a fully qualified Computer Engineer and Web Application Developer. Time spent in Canada, Iraq, Afghanistan, Corsica and Cyprus; saw Paul continuing to pursue art and photography inspired by an environment only a soldier could find himself. It was during these life changing times that Paul discovered his true love for the camera. Leaving his IT routes well and truly behind, he attained a Diploma in Photography and took up his passion full time.

Professionally Paul started out shooting at various award winning Nightclubs where names such as Pixie Lot, JLS, Skepta and Abi Titmus have appeared and performed. He has captured international events including a private charity event held by Sir Terry Pratchett, taken photos professionally for magazines, newspapers, and a variety of official military media tasking and commissioned work.

Although easy going and approachable Paul has enthusiasm and drive and while he is not shooting the world through his lens he unwinds by rock climbing, hiking and running, not to mention the occasional Jacuzzi and glass of wine.
